The Marlborough Hotel is a sophisticated and gorgeous place to stay in Winnipeg. the fabulous breakfast served here is delicious. the units are stunning and magnificent, each equipped with a mini-fridge and a queen bed. the hotel's prime location near the Burton Cummings Theatre, shopping malls, Winnipeg's downtown, and the suburbs makes it convenient for guests. the exceptional customer care provided at the hotel ensures a wonderful experience. the availability of nearby parking is another plus point.

Although the hotel was built in 1912 and is very old, old is not the right word to describe it, it is a piece of history and a very well kept one at that. The hotel staff were great, prompt, and friendly, and the free breakfast was one of the best for the value I have ever had. The room was clean and the in room hot tub was wonderful. Can't tell you about the tv we didn't turn it on, it was our honeymoon....sorry to much info.

Be aware when you book this hotel online that they false advertise their rooms. The pics you see are not the room you book! However! If you make a quick phone call after booking online and confirm your room number you end up getting what you paid for and then some. Call after you book! The hotel although very well kept defiantly has not been updated since the 70's although I was told that the 4th floor has been renovated for the first time in 40 years and they were working their way through the hotel. It was a little dusty but we didn't actually mind as the hotel its self was a work of art. No major complaints other than the dishonest pics online.

Old very well maintained city hotel

Jacuzzi without water and all rooms very cold, room temperature not adjustable, we had to borrow a fan heater, expensive parking

The breakfast could be chosen from a menu with several dishes and was very rich. Sights in the city are within walking distance. The bus connection is great. The Portage Shopping Mall is practically around the corner. The indoor swimming pool with slide is especially attractive in winter.

The window of the room opened onto a light well, but there was no street noise. The WiFi was only free in the lobby, in the room there was a daily fee per account (2 CAD).

I thoroughly enjoyed the big rooms. the staff was super friendly. - the room had upgraded furniture. - the location of the venue was particularly good, just a short distance from the University of Winnipeg.

The hotel was in a great location, however, there were concerns about loiters around the hotels entrance. The staff kept their presence known, and I was not harrased by the loiters. The continental breakfast went above and beyond my expectations! Eggs benedict, cooked fresh to order!

There were some miscommunications about our reservation. At last minute, my travelling companion was unable to come. I called ahead and asked if it would be possible to change a single occupancy, and asked if there was a reduced rate. I was assured that it was no trouble to change, and there was of course a reduced rate. I also again confirmed that my caa rate had been applied to the room, which I was told it was. Upon arrival, I was charged for a double occupancy room, and my caa rate was not applied. Language barriers between myself and the front desk personal made it a frustrating experience, and I ended up receiving a single room for a dual occupancy cost, with no rate applied. I made my concerns known, however there was no follow up.

    The breakfast was good.

I didn't realize there wasn't a hotel parking lot, we had to pay to park overnight. The room smelt strange and the shower went from hot to cold The breakfast was good in the morning but our server was extremely rude and actually insulted my brother by calling him harry potter.
